Woman Gets Mastectomy By Mistake [Video]
A New York woman was diagnosed with breast cancer and decided to opt for a mastectomy, the most aggressive treatment. After her surgery and in recovering she was notified that the cancer was misdiagnosed due to a ‘mislabeling’ error and she didn’t have cancer. She speaks about her situation in an interview below. She is grateful to be cancer free, although this example shows that errors do happen and that a 2nd or 3rd opinion is not only a conservative strategy. Also, before going under the kife, it’s recommended to consider more natural and less invasive treatments as an alternative.
