Frozen Hamburger Recall Expanded

Topps, a New Jersey meat processing company, has expanded the recall of frozen hamburger patties to 22 million pounds after finding samples with the E. coli virus. The USDA has suspended production at the Topps plants producing ground beef. This isn’t surprising, previous research by the USDA itself has reported that 78.6 percent of ground beef contains microbes that are spread through animal fecal matter and can make people sick. What’s the answer? Avoid meat. Studies have confirmed that a diet filled with primarily vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds and natural grains is healthier and helps you avoid disease and extends your life.
