<p>Suggesting to substitute an Egg McMuffin for a bagel is certainly not healthy choice. Yes, you save calories, but is an Egg McMuffin healthy to begin with? Not hardly. Weighing in at 37% fat it&#8217;s way off the scale. Instead of suggesting an Egg McMuffin, why not suggest bringing a couple of bananas, melon or fruit salad along rather than eating out. That&#8217;s the truly healthy choice.</p>
<p>Also, eating out is rarely healthy, what the authors are providing here is the lesser of two evils. Do you want a less processed food, or more processed food? A lot of toxins or a few toxins? A little bit of saturated fat or a lot of saturated fat?</p>

Yes, fewer calories are better than more, but the type of food, the nutrients, what&#8217;s inside, whether it&#8217;s fresh or organic also play a large role.
